Step 1: Registration and Selection
1. WHAT IS DIGITAL DRACULA TIMES?
Digital Dracula TiMes is a competition organized by the FANZIN Cultural Association in Timisoara at the first edition of Dracula TiMes Festival.
2. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS COMPETITION?
The purpose of Digital Dracula TiMes is to promote film education among young people, to give young people from Timisoara the chance to get closer to the film industry, and to discover and cultivate new talents in cinematography.
3. FOR WHO IT IS FOR?
The Digital Dracula TiMes competition is intended for young people between the ages of 16 and 29, who live in Timișoara or who film in Timișoara (for example, they are studying in Timișoara).
4. WHY SHOULD I PARTICIPATE?
Entering this competition will bring you many benefits and opportunities, including: participation at Dracula TiMes Festival, the opportunity to meet and work with specialists in film industry, the screening of your film at Dracula TiMes Festival, participation in the workshops and masterclasses on film malking, etc, and, of course, let’s not forget about the big prize of 500 EURO for the winning team.
5. WHAT IS THE COMPETITION TIMELINE?
Digital Dracula TiMes competition will take place from November 19th to December 3th, 2023.
6. WHAT ARE RULES TO ENTER THE COMPETITION?
You must be between 16 and 29 years old who live in Timișoara or who film in Timișoara (for example, they are studying in Timișoara)..
You have to make a short film with your mobile phone. The film should have a running time fom 1 to 3 minutes. This film must be posted on www.youtube.com, or on www.vimeo.com, and the link must be submitted to Digital Dracula TiMes.

7. WHEN CAN I APPLY?
Entries are open from October 15th to November 15th, 2023 on Digital Dracula TiMes.
8. WHO CHOOSES THE FINALISTS?
A jury of professionals will select 5 films to enter the final step of the competition + film chosen by public vote.
9. WHEN CAN BE VOTED THE FILMS ENTERED IN THE COMPETITION?
Voting of the short films subscribed in the competition will take place from November 16th – 20th 2023 on Digital Dracula TiMes.
10. IS THERE A REGISTRATION FEE TO ENTER THE COMPETITION?
Registration to Dracula Digital competition is FREE. The festival DOES NOT pay screening rights for the films submitted in the competitive section – Digital Dracula TiMes.
11. HOW MANY FINALISTS WILL GET TO GO TO THE NEXT STEP OF THE COMPETITION?
A jury of professionals will select 5 films to enter the final step of the competition.
Also, the film with the most votes from the audience on November 20th, 2023, 23:59, will automatically enters the final competition.
12. WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING THE SECOND STAGE OF THE COMPETITION?
The selected will produce a 3 minute short film in Timisoara (horror, SF, supernatural, thriller, fantastic) from November 29th to December 3th, 2023. The film will be filmed on a theme and based on 3 key words chosen by the jury.
The films will be screened online on Digital Dracula TiMes and the winner will be elected by the jury.
13. WHAT OTHER BENEFITS ARE THERE FOR THE PARTICIPANTS?
Your film will be screened at the festival.
The big prize of 500 EURO for the winning team.
